Qualification

10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Nationality

Medical Fitness

Candidates must satisfy the medical standards prescribed for the particular Level-1 post.

Educational Qualification

Level-1 Posts

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before the closing date of application. The post parameters in Annexure-A specify 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.


Important Note

Candidates waiting for the final result of the prescribed educational qualification are not eligible to apply. The qualification must have been obtained by the closing date of application.


Course Completed Act Apprentices

Course Completed Act Apprentices trained in Railway Establishments have specific provisions in the notification, including exemption from the Physical Efficiency Test as prescribed.

The age of candidates should be between 18 and 33 years as on 01-01-2026, subject to the post parameters and age-relaxation rules given in CEN No. 09/2025.

Examination Pattern

RRB Group D Level-1 recruitment consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination. The notification also reserves the right to conduct the CBT in single-stage or multi-stage mode.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

The CBT is an objective type multiple-choice examination. The notification specifies 100 questions of one mark each.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates qualifying in the CBT are shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test. PET is followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.

Male Candidates Lift and carry 35 Kg weight for 100 metres in 2 minutes without putting the weight down. Run 1000 metres in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
Female Candidates Lift and carry 20 Kg weight for 100 metres in 2 minutes without putting the weight down. Run 1000 metres in 5 minutes 40 seconds.

PET Important Points

CBT
