Starting Emoluments

The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at a Metro such as Mumbai will be around ₹46,000 per month, inclusive of DA, other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate Junior Associates. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting.

Integrated Dual Degree

Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2026.


Final Year / Semester Candidates

Candidates who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally. If provisionally selected, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2026.


Date of Passing

The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the marksheet, certificate or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. Where the result is posted on the University/Institute website, the prescribed certificate from the appropriate authority indicating the result-posting date is accepted.


Ex-Servicemen Educational Qualification

Matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after completing not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible, subject to the notification's conditions.

Recruitment Process

Phase I — Prelims

Three objective tests with 100 marks and one hour duration.

Phase II — Mains

Four objective tests containing 190 questions for 200 marks.

Special Provision for Trained SBI Apprentices

Bonus marks are prescribed for eligible trained apprentices of SBI.

Bonus Marks

Eligible trained SBI apprentices receive bonus marks equal to 2.5% of the maximum Main Examination marks, i.e. 5 marks out of 200.

Eligibility Condition

The apprentice's engagement start date must be on or after 01.01.2022 and the prescribed one-year branch experience must be completed in SBI on or before 31.08.2026, subject to the notification's conditions.

Training Completion

Successful completion includes passing the skill evaluation test and obtaining the joint National Apprenticeship Certificate as specified.
