Negative Marking

Selection Process

The official notification describes the SBI Junior Associate selection process through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and the specified Local Language Proficiency Test.

Stage 1 — Preliminary

Candidates appear in the Online Preliminary Examination. Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination based on the Preliminary aggregate score.

Stage 2 — Main

Shortlisted candidates appear for the Online Main Examination consisting of four separately timed objective tests.

Stage 3 — Local Language

Provisionally selected candidates who are not exempted through Class 10th/12th language-study proof must qualify the specified opted local language test before joining.

Final Merit

Preliminary marks are not added to final selection. Only aggregate Main Examination marks are considered for preparation of the final merit list.

Merit lists are drawn State-wise and category-wise. Selected candidates are posted in the State/UT for which they applied.

Final Selection — Important Points

Local Language Requirement
