ALP is the single post notified under CEN No. 01/2026, with Level-2 pay, ₹19,900 initial pay and A-1 medical standard.
Eligibility can be through specified ITI trades, Course Completed Act Apprenticeship, or the prescribed engineering Diploma / Degree route.
The post has stringent medical and vision requirements prescribed in the notification.

Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised NCVT / SCVT institutions in the prescribed trades including Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist and Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.
Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the prescribed trades mentioned in the notification.
Matriculation / SSLC plus a three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Automobile Engineering, or combinations of these engineering disciplines, from a recognised institution in lieu of ITI. A Degree in the relevant engineering disciplines is also acceptable in lieu of the Diploma.
Candidates must already possess the prescribed educational / technical qualification at the time of submitting the online application. Candidates awaiting final results of the prescribed qualification are not eligible to apply.
The age of candidates should be between 18 and 30 years as on 01-07-2026, subject to the applicable age-relaxation rules given in CEN No. 01/2026.
For UR / OBC-CL and EWS candidates, the upper age date is prescribed in the notification. Separate relaxations are available to eligible reserved and other specified categories as per the CEN.

CBAT is a mandatory stage for candidates shortlisted for ALP.

CBAT is conducted only in English and Hindi.
