RPF Constable CBT Exam Pattern

The RPF Constable CBT is an objective-type examination at 10th/Matric level. The official notification specifies 120 questions for 120 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.

Negative Marking

1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

Minimum Pass Percentage

35% for UR, EWS & OBC-NCL and 30% for SC & ST.

Selection Process

The RPF Constable recruitment process comprises Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV).

Stage 1 — CBT

Objective-type Computer Based Test at 10th/Matric level. CBT marks are counted for shortlisting.

Stage 2 — PET/PMT

Candidates shortlisted on CBT merit undergo the qualifying Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test.

Stage 3 — DV

Original certificates and documents are verified after qualifying the preceding stages.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

PET is mandatory and qualifying in nature. No marks are awarded for PET.

CBT questions are displayed in the language opted by the candidate and in English.

13 Regional Languages

Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu are available.

Language Selection

The candidate must choose the examination medium from the languages provided in the online application.

Syllabus Coverage

Arithmetic

Cover every arithmetic topic listed in the official notification, especially number operations, percentages, ratio & proportion, averages, interest, profit & loss, mensuration and time & distance.

Reasoning

Practise the notified reasoning areas including analogies, spatial concepts, problem solving, classification, series, coding-decoding, statement-conclusion and syllogistic reasoning.

General Awareness

Prepare current events and the notified areas of Indian history, art & culture, geography, economics, polity, Constitution, sports and general science.

Exam Discipline
