SSC CHSL recruits candidates for various clerical and data entry posts in different Ministries and Government Departments.
Performs office work, maintains records, file handling, typing and document management.
Works in Central Government ministries assisting officers with clerical and administrative duties.
Responsible for data entry, report preparation, database maintenance and computer-based office work.
Specialized data entry work in selected government departments with higher responsibility.

For certain Data Entry Operator posts, candidates should have passed 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of India are also accepted.
Age is calculated according to the date mentioned in the official SSC CHSL notification. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation as per Government rules.
