Female candidates are not measured for chest; the notification states that it will be ascertained that the chest is well-developed. Weight must be proportionate to height and age according to medical standards.

For candidates other than those belonging to the Ladakh Region, male candidates have to complete 5 Kms in 24 minutes and female candidates 1.6 Kms in 8½ minutes. Ladakh Region standards are 1.6 Kms in 7 minutes for males and 800 metres in 5 minutes for females.
The fee is ₹100. Women candidates and eligible SC, ST and ESM candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.
